Christmas Village Update 2!
Our group of volunteers (elves….) continues to grow! Our community spirit is something to be proud of!! I have received pms asking if we still “need” volunteers. We would love for anyone who wants to be involved to feel welcome to join us. If you can put up with laughter and passion….out of the box ideas and just plain fun? There’s always an extra chair for you.
Christmas Village Update 1!
The first meeting of the planning committee happened on Wednesday, October 18th and the enthusiasm was amazing. Keep a watch here for information about dates, activities and most importantly….requests for assistance from the community.
Our first sponsor to help make this event something special is Northwind Electric who have generously offered to do the Christmas light installation for exterior lights and the large Christmas tree that will be outside for the community lighting ceremony on Friday, December 1st. THANK YOU!
Our planning committee consists of Ashley Johnson, Pauline Burns, Cathy Squires, Sharon Spence, Wendy Kruger, Lara Lewisch, and Gabby Schley, with more people stepping up to lend their time. You will see our team reaching out to the community and we will continue to update this planning committee list and then make a post with the names and pin to the top of the announcements. Sharon Spence is responsible for decorating the hall so if you have lights or any type of Christmas decorations that you would like to donate or loan to the hall….please send an email or pm and Sharon will make arrangements to pick up.
Ashley Johnson is responsible for vendors and will be posting how to apply to become a vendor for December 2 and 3. As this is a multi day and activity event, we will be only choosing 15 vendors whose whose products, crafts, or food are Christmas themed.
